11" Drumheads available ?
Q: I recently acquired a 7"x 11"Ludwig and Ludwig torn with a broken batter head. Are there any 11" drumheads on the market today, or will I need a calf-skin head custom made for this drum?
A: I had the same problem about a year ago. Fortunately, Ludwig offers an 11" banjo head which is available in a medium weight in clear, smooth white, and coated white. The coated white worked well on my drum, plus it had no imprint to contend with, so it would look good on any brand of drum. The list price is $20.00 per head.
